Pop-up Music Club
Live musik in Klassiske Dage’s “Pop-up Music Club”. 

Every afternoon in the festival week and Saturday morning, a live meeting place is being created in Holstebro pedestrian street in an exciting collaboration between professional musicians, young talents from the OrkesterEfterskolen, MGK-MidtVest and the art and design students at DanskTalentAkademi. The music is newly composed and will be cross-over between classical, jazz and folk music. Come by at the old bank on the corner of Nørregade and Ved Nørreport and follow the process every day!

Family Concert – Part of the “Aarhus European Capital of Culture 2017”

Sigurd Barrett, the entertainer and the piano phenomenon, takes 470 schoolchildren on a blazing, entertaining and enlightening speed-trip through Denmark’s history, garnished with a unique local history in collaboration with Holstebro Museum. Experience the whole of Denmark’s history in just 1 hour for full music and high spirits.

Starring: Sigurd Barrett, Festival Soloists, Trumpet players from the Royal Academy in Aarhus, The Royal Ballet school in Holstebro and 470 children from Holstebro schools

Academy students and graduates from master classes with Håkan Hardenberger, in collaboration with Professor DJM, Kristian Steenstrup, show the level of the best newly educated trumpetists from the Danish Conservatory of Music. In addition, 2 young string players contribute from the festival’s master class with the Danish String Quartet.
