Karolina Weltrowska Violin, Poland
Karolina Weltrowska was born in Poland in 1984 and began playing the violin at the age of seven. She studied with Mirosław Ławrynowicz at the Frédéric Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw and currently she is continuing her studies at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/Main with Priya Mitchell. From 2005-2007, she studied with her string quartet at the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) where her teacher was, among others, Hatto Beyerle.
Karolina is a prize winner of major national violin competitions and appeared as a solist with orchestras in her native country. As a member of her quartet she won first prizes in the international chamber music competitions in Heerlen (Netherlands), Sondershausen, and Weimar (Germany). Karolina has performed at many chamber music festivals, among others in Düsseldorf, Kuhmo, Osnabrück, Schleswig-Holstein, and Warsaw.
