Hugo Ticciati Violin, Sweden

As violinist and artistic director, Hugo Ticciati embraces all possible forms of creativity, whether in Carnegie Hall, with monks in India, or by conceiving innovative programmes for his own festival O/Modernt. Hugo has performed works written for him in the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall, Chicago Symphony Hall, Wigmore Hall, Shanghai Oriental Arts Theatre and Concertgebouw. He devises and presents concerts with a unique twist, collaborating with orchestras such as Manchester Camerata, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Basel Chamber Orchestra and his own O/Modernt Orchestra. With a passion for chamber music, he gives regular recitals in prestigious festivals and halls across Europe and the Far East, collaborating with artists such as Anne Sofie von Otter, Evelyn Glennie, Steven Isserlis, Angela Hewitt and Olli Mustonen.

Hugo plays on a 1751 G.B. Guadagnini.
