2018 news: Anders Mogensen is a regular member of “The North” which in 2018 has been awarded with Canada’s finest music prize, JUNO.
For more than two decades, drummer Anders Mogensen has been one of the most sought after musicians in the Danish as well as the international jazz scene. He has been a member of groundbreaking bands like When Granny Sleeps, Jakob Anderskov Trio, Doky Brothers, Kasper Tranberg Yakuza Zhuffle, Lovedale and Copenhagen Art Ensemble. He has been touring and recording with Jazz greats such as: Bob Berg, David Liebman, Steve Swallow, Marc Johnson, Brecker Brothers, Gary Thomas, Django Bates, Tim Hagans, Cuong Vu, Lew Soloff and Ray Anderson.

Anders has a position as associate professor and director of the jazz department at the Fynske Music Conservatory, and has held clinics and workshops throughout Europe, the United States, Japan and Brazil.

Studied drums from age 6 and classical piano from age 10.

Pre-educated for classical-conservatory, Holstebro, 1988.

Studied at Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA,  from 1990-1991.

Graduated from The Rhythmic Conservatory, Copenhagen Denmark 1996
